ABOUT ME
I employ the camera to investigate the multiple realities in which I live, or have lived. Centering my practice at the crux of where truth and disbelief meet, I contend my status as an image-maker, as one who canonically reproduces truth, with a storyteller, whose constructions cannot be trusted. My images are not designed to be clear; rather, they are engineered to require a deeper act of looking.
I engage with analog and physical techniques and processes to manipulate my images, such as multiple exposures, scanning, intentional motion, and darkroom science. My goal is to create images that capture and hold attention. There is so much to look at.
Based in Brooklyn, previously lived in Seattle, grew up in rural Pennsylvania. Specifically familiar and comfortable operating in rural contexts, in coastal industries, in dark and crowded venues, in the hustle and bustle, in a full photo studio, or deep in the woods. I’ll go anywhere for the shot.
